The Dahon Jetstream P8 Disc is easy to ride a folding bicycle with a German suspension kinematics. The suspension is made up of pure Dalloy Aluminum with a forge lattice hinge and the V-clamp technology. The bicycle consists of an asphalt, ruts, and potholes which are seen very often but in some cases are absent. It has a smooth, finely tune X-Fusion air shock system. The breaks are very good.

The tires of the Jetstream P8 are smooth and have a firm grip on the road. They are of Street PAC” 20 by 1.75”-inch Reflective stripe type. The bicycle is quite light. It weighs only 13.5kg. The handlebar is 6061 Double Butted Aluminum made. It is flat and is 580 mm wide. The shipping weight of the bike is 30 pounds and shipping time is about 2 to 3 days. It is said to sail over the urban imperfections safely and effortlessly but according to the users, it is not as effective as it should have been.

Dalloy Suspension

This bicycle is German assembled. It is made up of Dalloy Aluminum. The handlebar and the entire body is made up of the Aluminum Dalloy forged lattice hinge that is powered by the V-clamp technology.  The material helps to satisfy users’ demand of providing comfort in handling the bike on road. It is smooth and water/rust resistant. The colour of the bike does not fade away over time and the suspension overall is quite strong.

Streetpack Tires

Riders often demand bicycles with smooth but strong tires that can provide them comfort riding them on road. This bike tends to fulfil their demand as it consists of street pack tires with a reflective stripe that is not only light but strong at the same time. They are “20 by 1.75” inches wide and contribute to only 40% of the total bike weight.

Verdict

The verdict on the Jetstream P8  is unfortunately on the negative side. The manufacturers claimed it to be rider friendly but it disappointed most of the riders by its weak suspension that often causes them to topple over while riding it in the middle of the busy city. It is also a bit expensive as compared to other bikes.

The Dahon Jetstream P8 Disc is quite comfortable but the issue of the breaks breaking out in the middle of the city causing discomfort for the rider makes it difficult for the riders to buy it. It is also difficult to repair. Hence the bikers often prefer other bikes over this one.
